It started as a daydream.

We flew float planes, ski planes and helicopters in the 1980’s, when most people were commuting in cars and trucks. My daily commute while working in the hydro-line industries, spanned the most remote areas of Northern Saskatchewan.

Morning and night, I surveyed a landscape containing lakes and rivers too numerous to count and a notable void in human presence. With a birds-eye-view of a vast wilderness, my imagination ran wild about the potential for hunting and fishing.

Then, in the summer of 1986, to explore what I could only imagine from the air, I flew my first boat into the Saskatchewan wilderness. At the age of 24, without a partner, investor or rich relative, both of my camps were built from the ground up. After thousands of hours of planning and hard work, the daydream of Hawkrock Wilderness Adventures was realized.

It is a deep love and passion for the wilderness that I most enjoy sharing with my guests. With two decades experience as an outfitter and guide, you are guaranteed a memory, etched and vivid, about this place. A memory that will call you to return, again and again.
